Top Places to Spoil Dad in Mississauga on Father’s Day

Father’s Day (Sunday, June 16) is just around the corner.

Are you currently panicking at this realization – or are you cool as a cucumber?

If you’re feeling a bit panicky, then the upcoming holiday probably wasn’t even on your radar yet – just like it wasn’t on mine when I wrote this article. But no need to worry! If you’ve been struggling to come up with a cool way to celebrate dad, then you soon will have the perfect idea. I’ve done research for both of us and found five really great ways to celebrate dad this Father’s Day!

Mississauga Waterfront Festival

Although the day’s devoted to celebrating dad, it’s a bonus if your plans will keep everyone in the family entertained. Mississauga Waterfront Festival, running June 15 – 17 at Memorial Park in Port Credit, is your answer!

Promising plenty of entertainment acts, live music, rides and food, this family-friendly festival is always a popular destination. The best part? This event won’t break the bank! Free admission is offered to the whole family.

Enjoy Nature

Father’s Day is a great opportunity to spend time enjoying the great outdoors – and Mississauga has plenty of options! Many of the city’s trails include waterfront views and wildlife sightings. They are a beautiful spot for family photos!

Some of my favourite walking and cycling trails include Waterfront Trail, Rivergrove Trail and Malton Greenway. Check out this listing for a great listing of Mississauga’s best trails!

Mississauga Halal Food Fest

The Mississauga Halal Food Festival is the place to be for dad to enjoy some of his favourite foods!

Held June 14-15 at Celebration Square, the festival offers scrumptious eats from South Asia and the Middle East. Besides plenty of Halal food options, there will be live entertainment and much more!

Brewery Tour

If dad’s a beer drinker, why not plan a tour and tastings at some of Mississauga’s best breweries? 3 Brewers Heartland is famous for their single-hopped Belgian style ale that features a blend of strawberry extract. For an extra special time with dad, why not reserve a beer-making workshop? Learn the mystery behind beer making while one of the brewery’s master brewers helps you create your own cask!

Plan to stay for a bite to eat after your beer making. 3 Brewers Heartland’s extensive menu pairs food with individual beers so that you can enjoy a one-of-a-kind sensory experience! While enjoying all Mississauga has to offer, consider pre-booking a stay at Platinum Suites, the best furnished apartments in Mississauga! With a convenient location across from Celebration Square and within walking distance of numerous restaurants and pubs, there is plenty to keep you and your dad busy.
