The 5 Best Ways to Celebrate Spring in Mississauga

Each winter, it feels like spring will never arrive.

And just like every other year, it (finally) does.

In celebration of spring’s arrival, I love to get outside, enjoy the sunshine and breathe the fresh air! Below are five of my most favourite ways to celebrate spring in Mississauga.

Enjoy Nature at Rattray Marsh Conservation Area

What better way to get re-introduced to nature than by visiting a conservation area? Located at 660 Bexhill Rd., Mississauga, Rattray Marsh Conservation Area is a beautiful spot to spend an afternoon. Enjoy views of Lake Ontario while spending time on the natural cobblestone beach or Lake Ontario Waterfront Trail. There are ample opportunities to take beautiful photographs, bird watch and explore nature!

Take a Stroll in Streetsville

The Village of Streetsville features over 300 quaint restaurants, shops, cafes and more. Take a stroll around and check out the area’s old world charm and numerous historical buildings, or simply sit and enjoy a glass of wine at one of the pubs.

With plenty of exciting events planned for spring, it’s easy to keep the whole family happy with this outing!

Do Some Racing

Winter is a time to stay in and stay cozy, so it’s nice to get the adrenaline pumping again with a little bit of racing! Visit the go-kart track at Playdium to experience one of the longest tracks in Ontario. The 1.2-kilometre track features plenty of curves and throughways to enjoy. Depending on your age, experience and number of passengers, there are three different go-karts to keep you entertained. Whatever you choose, get ready to tackle one of the most difficult and enjoyable go-kart tracks in the city!

Lakefront Promenade Park

Lakefront Promenade Park features over 104 acres of protected habitat and public parkland.

As one of the area’s largest waterfront developments, the park features 15 miles of continuous route along Lake Ontario. Bring family and friends to enjoy a group picnic, outdoor licensed eatery or water splash pad.

Feeling more active? There are plenty of walkways and cycling paths to explore.

Mississauga Waterfront Festival

For over twenty years, the Mississauga Waterfront Festival has been offering a three-day weekend festival filled with music, food and more. Held at Memorial Park in Port Credit, this year’s festival takes place from June 14 – 16 and promises to be even better than before!

The best part? The festival is free!
